| To identify the type of transmission you have:
Locate the six (6) digit 722.XXX
number stamped into the pan rail on the passenger side. This is the most important part of the transmission identification number. In our example below, 722 400, the 722 signifies an automatic transmission. The 4 signifies the model of transmission. The 00 signifies the type of automobile and is used to determine what modulator and the adjusted pressure is required. |
